Special to the Daily Planet
The other night (last week as a matter of fact), I was working on my college education at YouTube University, when I came upon a video about an Iranian wedding — a state-sanctioned Muslim wedding.
I thought, now, Roger, this is something you should watch in an effort to broaden your cultural awareness and... diversity.
That’s a good Democrat word, right?
Getting back on track about the wedding, they had the “preacher” on site. I believe the proper term is a “mullah,” but I could be wrong. The correct term might be an “imam.” Duh... whatever. Anyhow, he had that “ayatollah” look.
(It wasn’t my war. My war was in Asia.)
Then there was the bride — very attractive — dressed in a white, flowing gown.
And there was the groom — a young guy, dressed in his green Iranian Police uniform.
It was about at this point when I decided there was more to this than a wedding — and I was in for an “education.”
The wedding was being sponsored by the Iranian government. I was doing the “‘What the “F***’ thing” after it was announced that the wedding was for 30 days.
Do you have to buy them a house after the divorce? Reminds me of the 1982 song “She Got the Goldmine (I Got the Shaft)” by Jerry Reed — after the one every 30-day thing.
The rule is Muslims are not allowed to drink alcohol or “mess around” — unless you are married.
They might cut off your male sex organ for that sort of behavior — and publicly behead the woman.
One would think educated white women of “privilege” would get their panties in a wad over that.
So much for the United States being the “Great Satan” and Israel being the “Little Satan.”
The wedding was a great example of a “lawyer’s dodge.”
Hypocrisy? Duh, I don’t know️. Maybe Allah accepts that kind of bull-poop (I using diplomacy again). I don’t think my God does.
Later, it was explained that these “short -term marriages” were a normal thing, usually reserved as a perk for the more uppity-ups and the muckety-mucks, but not for others, such as lowly policemen.
Those “marriages” (for policemen, etc.) are often performed for shorter periods of time — usually overnighters, or even for periods as short as a half-hour.
That they are being performed for common policemen is evidence the Iranian regime is running out of money and using short-term marriage perks as an inducement to remain on the job, remain loyal, kill another 40,000 — or was it 60,000 — of your fellow countrymen, if needed.
Another way to look at it is: Yep, Donald Trump is definitely losing this “immoral” war.
Be happy, Democrats.
What was that 1988 song by Bobby McFerrin? Oh, yeah, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.”
Especially given that inflation in Iran is forecast to be 69 percent this year.
Yep, Trump’s losing...
