The Daily Planet’s Opinion: New York City mayor’s wife rates as wicked for ‘liking’ Hamas’ photos of Oct. 7, 2023 terrorist atttack on Israelis
Sunday, 22 March 2026 22:52

To what should be her ever-lasting shame and likely eternal damnation, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s wife Rama Duwaji has been linked to “likes” of social media posts celebrating gruesome Oct. 7, 2023 attacks, when Hamas tortured and murdered more than 1,200 innocent men, women, and children — including 46 Americans — in the most brutal terrorist attack in Israel’s history.

Specifically, NYC’s First Lady showed support for far-left organizations applauding Hamas’ rampage.

To that end, AI Overview reported on March 9, “Reports surfaced in March 2026 that Duwaji had ‘liked’ Instagram posts that characterized the October 7 events as a mass rape hoax.”

In the aftermath, Mayor Mamdani has defended his wife, describing her as a “private person” who holds no formal role in his administration or campaign. He has stated that while he condemns Hamas and the October 7 violence, he stands by his wife as the “love of his life.”

What’s more, the news website JewishvInsider reported on March 6 that “Mamdani spent the mayoral campaign distancing himself from the most radical anti-Israel elements of his leftist movement, but an examination of his wife’s social media activity reveals she liked multiple Instagram posts cheering on Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, assault.

“The posts liked by Rama Duwaji, a Syrian-American artist, unambiguously celebrated the terrorist attack, which saw nearly 1,200 Israelis and foreign workers killed, thousands wounded, 251 civilians and military personnel kidnapped and numerous episodes of sexual assault.”

According to reports from The Free Press and Jewish Insider, Duwaji liked more than 70 posts containing such “radical anti-Israel content.”

After the outrage that erupted over the First Lady’s antisemitism and the mayor’s tone-deaf response, the mayor is now — deservedly — facing hecklers as well as protesters shouting “shame” during his public appearances.
