The results of my column about the impotence (that is a great word — especially now at my age — of the “No Kings 2.0” rally on Oct. 18 must have hit a very “sore nerve” with my Democrat (now “independent”) friend.
I understand that this is happening across the nation, as noted in words of U.S. Senator Adam Schiff, Democrats are “… hiding in plain sight” as independents.
Anyhow... to get back on track... this independent person, after reading my “No Kings 2.0” column, sent me the following:
•
(DICTIONARY:
hate speech
Abusive or threatening speech or writing that expresses prejudice on the basis of ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or similar grounds.
"We don't tolerate any for of hate speech"
•
I love that last line, “We don’t tolerate any form of hate speech.”
Oh yeah, I think I know a little bit about hate speech. Well, tell me why you don’t like Donald Trump. Have you ever met the man? No. Has he ever done anything to you? No. Do you know him personally? No. Do you have any friends or family that has ever met him? No, but I just hate him.
“Then you are just prejudiced and hate somebody for no reason at all. Just shut up. I don’t want to discuss anymore… Hate speech? Duh, I don’t know.”
How about paying for a false story, say… “Donald Trump is colluding with the Russians.” Then pushing (you got to be talking to push a story) a story you know is false onto the American people. That fits my definition of hate speech; but I ain’t Webster.
Another thought on hate speech, your name is Comey, or Brennan or Clapper and you have been told by your own people that the Donald Trump/Russian collusion story is false.
That it is a lie bought and paid for by Hillary Clinton, yet you go to a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court and knowingly tell the court that the story is true.
Is that conspiracy, hate speech? Well… you certainly have one of the elements of hate speech — it’s white boys doing it.
Or, personally to me (although we all know it isn’t hate speech because a Democrat said it) President Biden in reference to Donald Trump: “It’s time to put Trump in a bull’s-eye.”
Take that a step further, Democrat friends, telling me in reference to Thomas Mathew Crooks’ attempted assassination of President Trump, “I wish he had not missed.”
Moving on, where the generic white woman at the “No Kings 2.0” rally says Charlie Kirk “got what he deserved.”
Then there is today, Nov. 3, 2025. The government has been shut down for 33 days. Thirteen votes have been taken on the Senate floor. Thirteen times Democrat Senators have voted to keep the government closed.
Republicans have voted 13 times to fund the government. That is fact. It is in the United States Senate record.
The military goes unpaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP benefits) for low-income families and individuals go unpaid, yet Democrats tell Americans that Republicans are shutting down the government.
Isn’t that a hate speech lie on the Democrats’ part? Isn’t lying about your opponent hate speech?
Failing to take responsibility for your actions, then attempting to blame someone else — is that not hate speech?
