The NFL — once again — fumbled big time in its choice of its halftime performer for Super Bowl 2026, with its idiotic selection of the performer Bad Bunny, who constantly interjects his hypocritical progressive political stances and anti-USA viewpoint in his truly wretched concerts.
We say to BB, just perform your music — and leave politics out of your moronic shows.
While we realize the rapper Bad Bunny is regarded as one of the hottest up-and-coming musicians on the scene today, we would note that that’s not saying much, as nearly all of the music critics we respect — young, old and in-between — say popular music has been dead, creatively, for years.
Even NFL Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson on Oct. 8 blasted BB’s upcoming Super Bowl halftime show, saying the Puerto Rican star should “keep his a**” away from the event, if he does not like the United States.
Speaking to TMZ at LAX, Dickerson said he’d “heard some stuff” the artist supposedly said about America — and argued that such views should not represent the NFL’s biggest stage.
When reminded that Puerto Rico is part of the U.S., Dickerson replied, “It’s not the U.S. — that’s how I feel.” (Puerto Rico is a territory of the U.S.)
Dickerson did not specify what comments he was referring to, but TMZ noted that some other Republican figures, including President Donald Trump and Speaker of the House Michael Johnson, have voiced similar criticisms.
Dickerson, an NFL legend, added, “I’m from the U.S. I love my country. And if you don’t like the United States, just get your a-- out of here — and don’t come back over here.”
Instead of Bad Bunny, we think the choice for this year’s Super Bowl halftime show should have been Michael Bublé, given his amazing crooner voice with which he has revived interest in traditional pop standards and the Great American Songbook — for a new generation of listeners.
Unlike the arrogant and ever-political BB, Bublé, who leaves politics out of his shows, is known for his strong family values, empathy, humility and philanthropic efforts.
