GREENVILLE, S.C. — Nobody puts summer in the corner. Asheville television station WLOS reported on Aug. 21
“A little bit of Kellexqrman’s is arriving in the Carolinas with ‘Dirty Dancing: The Musical’ showing at the Peace Concert Hall in Greenville from Nov. 10 through 15,” News 13 noted.
“The timing couldn’t be better, as the film ‘Dirty Dancing’ hit theaters on Aug. 21, 1987, marking its 39th anniversary!
“The beloved film has deep Carolina ties — with Lake Lure in Western North Carolina serving as a backdrop for several scenes, including that iconic lift training sequence,” the TV station reported.
News 13’s “Comment Bubble” appearing after its story included the following assertion:
• ILUVICE — “I hate the movie, but love the soundtrack — and Patrick Swayze. He was the man!”
