Because of a reporting error, the Daily Planet incorrectly stated in a story in its Oct. 29 edition that UNC Health Pardee filed for a Certificate of Need.

The story should have reported that UNC Health and UNC Health Pardee have filed a plan with the state’s Certificate of Need office to develop UNC Health West Medical Center (aka “UNC Health West”).

The center would be located at the intersection of Brevard Road (Highway 191) and Frederick Law Olmsted Way, south of Asheville.
