GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — The group Micky Dolenz: 60 Years of the Monkees will perform in concert at 7 p.m. Sept. 24 in the Niswonger Performing Arts Center at 212 Tusculum Boulevard here.
“Micky Dolenz is best known as a vocalist and drummer of the 1960s’ pop legends The Monkees, but he’s also an actor, singer, director, producer, writer, radio DJ and all-around performer extraordinaire,” a promotion noted.
“The Monkees achieved massive success both as a TV show and as recording artists, with their first four albums hitting number one and launching three number-one singles: ‘Last Train to Clarksville,’ ‘I’m a Believer’ and ‘Daydream Believer.’ The group’s first five albums also went platinum.
‘Beyond The Monkees, Micky has released several critically acclaimed solo albums, including ‘King for a Day,’ ‘Remember’ and the award-winning ‘Dolenz Sings Nesmith.’”
