SWANNANOA. N.C.  —The group Ska City will perform in concert at 6 p.m. July 28 in Grovemont Park, next to the Swannanoa Library at 101 W. Charleston St., here. 

The concert is part of the Groovin’ at Grovemont summer outdoor concert series. 

Ska City is billed as “a high-energy, British-American nine-piece band based in Asheville, North Carolina.

“They blend over six decades of ska, including rocksteady, dancehall, two-tone, third-wave ska, and punk. The collective features a four-piece horn section and harmony vocals, playing both original tracks and classic covers.”

Attendees are urged to bring picnic meals, lawnchairs and/or blankets. Food trucks will be serving on-site. Admission is free.
