NEWTON, N.C. — Singer-songwriter-guitarist Lita Ford will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m. April 10 in the Newton Performing Arts Center, 60 West 6th Street, here.
Ford plays hard rock and heavy metal music and, according to AI Overview on March 22, “Ford is considered a pioneering female figure in the traditionally male-dominated heavy metal genre.”
Born in 1958, she joined The Runaways — an all-female rock band — at age 16, playing lead guitar until the band split in 1979.
