Astronomy club to meet March 7, with star gaze set March 8

 The Astronomy Club of Asheville will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. March 7 in the Manheimer Room at UNC Asheville's Reuter Center.

Also, the club will host a public star gaze on the night of March 8 at Grassland Mountain Observatory in Madison County, with a weather backup night of March 9.

"This event is free and open to everyone — registration is not necessary to attend," a club press release stated. "A temporary gate code, required for entry, will be posted by 5 p.m. on the day of the star gaze" online at astroasheville.org, where directions to the Grassland Mountain Observatory also can be found here. The March 8 sunset occurs at 6:32 pm
