We are delighted to note that X owner and Tesla CEO Elon Musk and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy in mid-November were named by President-elect Donald Trump to lead the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (“DOGEâ€).
“Together, these two wonderful Americans will pave the way for my administration to dismantle government bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure federal agencies — essential to the ‘Save America’ Movement,†Trump added.
Meanwhile, Musk and Ramaswamy, through DOGE, reportedly are looking for what they described as “small-government revolutionaries†ready to work on what they described as “unglamorous cost-cutting.â€
Further, they wrote on X, “We are very grateful to the thousands of Americans who have expressed interest in helping us at DOGE.â€
Even more specifically, Musk and Ramaswamy stated of behalf of Doge, “We don’t need more part-time idea generators. We need super high-IQ, small-government revolutionaries willing to work 80-plus hours per week on unglamorous cost-cutting.â€
DOGE then called on qualified individuals to DM (direct-mail) them their CV (i.e. curriculum vitae, which is a document that summarizes your skills, education and work experience for job applications). and promising that “Elon & Vivek will review the top 1 percent of applicants.â€
“Over the last decade, Congress has gradually (and lazily) ceded its lawmaking power to a bureaucratic machine that now churns out 90,000 pages of regulations per year,†Ramaswamy said on X, sharing a video of himself explaining that reforming the bureaucracy is a myth. “Time to unplug the printer,†Ramaswamy asserted.
