In this day of Aug. 15, 2024, I would be inundated with calls and inquiry of: "Where were you when President Trump came to Asheville?"
I told them that, if I had been the owner of the Biltmore Estate, I could have invited President Trump over to the (Biltmore) House for lunch and given him the best piece of advice that would have tripled his support from not only the black populous in Asheville, but also in the entire Southland of America and, arguably, the Northland as well.
And not to forget the boys from the Republican Party, who didn’t invite me as they did when the chair of the black Republican Caucus (Ms. Frances Rice) came to town.
My advice to the (former) president would have been... “Sir, stop telling black folks that you are the best thing to happen to them since (Abraham) Lincoln came out of the White House.”
Instead tell them that 'the best man to come out of the White House for black people is Donald J. Trump!”
And I would recount:
• Lincoln and the Corwin Amendment (the latter of which, had it passed, would have prevented Congress from interfering with slavery in any state)
• Lincoln’s conversations with Fredrick Douglass on the topic of the blacks in America never being equal to the white man
• The shipping out of the Africans to Île-à-Vache in Haití... and to Liberia
• The shipping of the Africans into death camps with the “Root Hog or Die” policy
• The unequal pay for his black troops for the same jobs performed by the white troops
• Placing black troops to the front of the battle lines. (See the Battle of the Craters or the Battle of Olustee]
• The joke called the Emancipation Proclamation that freed no slaves, and arguably, the joke called the first 13th Amendment
And I would have told him that the black folks around the Southland saw Kamala (Harris) in the kitchen cooking with an Indian woman, bragging about their complicit ancestory as Indians — and now she proposes to be “sister” girl to the black women...
She (Harris) is no different than the criminal (U.S.) Senator Elizabeth (“Pocahontas”) Warren (D-Mass) who also lied to the United States Congress about the black veterans hating military bases being named after Confederate leaders.
And not to forget her (Warren’s) use of a bill of attainder in order to justify her illegal actions that the United States Congress, Department of Defense and Joe Biden should have put a stop to. God bless you!
