TAYLORS, S.C. — Foreverland’s Greased Lightnin’ Party will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. Sept. 16 at Landmark Hall, 156 Landmark Drive, here.

The party will include a performance (inspired by the iconic film “Grease”) by the Foreverland Dance Team. “Greased Lightin’” was a hit song from the film “Grease.” The song, sung by Danny (John Travolta) to Sandy (Olivia Newton-John) begins memorably:

 “Well, this car is automatic / It’s systematic/ It’s hydromatic / Why it’s greased lightnin’ (greased lightnin’)....” 

In addition, a bachata dance lesson will be taught from 7 to 8 p.m., followed by a dance to all genres — featuring DJ Natalie Foreverland — from 8 to 11 p.m. Proper attire for the party is “pink ladies, leather, T-shirts, etc.,” an event promotion stated. 

Cost is $10 at the door for members -— and $15 for nonmembers.
