Henderson schools to go with fully remote model

HENDERSONVILLE — Following a 6-1 vote on July 20 by the Henderson County Board of Education, the county’s public schools will begin the school year on Aug. 17 under a fully-remote learning model, This currently applies to the first six weeks of the 2020-21 school year.

Jay Egolf was the one board member to vote for Plan B, which is a mix of in-person and virtual learning, while Chairperson Blair Craven, Vice Chairperson Rick Wood, and members Michael Absher, Dot Case, Mary Louise Corn and Amy Lynn Holt voted for Plan C — the remote learning plan.
