From Staff Reports

FLAT ROCK — Blue Ridge Community College announced on Sept. 8 that, as a result of COVID-19 restrictions in North Carolina, all September events for Music by the Lake on its campus “have unfortunately been canceled.”

The series normally begins in May, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the first concert now has been reset to occur Oct. 4.

This year’s featured musical artists include Pretty Little Goat; Nick Chandler & Delivered; Tuxedo Junction Band; and Tom Fisch.

Tuxedo Junction band is set to perform on Oct. 4 and Tom Fisch on Oct. 11. BRCC noted that Pretty Little Goat and Nick Chandler & Delivered were scheduled to perform in September, but may be rescheduled to October if available.

“Unfortunately, we will need to postpone the 2020 Music by the Lake series again,” stated event organizer M.C. Gaylord. “Public safety and our community’s well being is our top priority at Blue Ridge. Hopefully we can start the series in October! Our Music by the Lake webpage will keep you posted on the latest changes.”
